Please join us!  The Patchwork Foundation will be holding a dedication of the Wellness Garden at the library on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 10:30 am directly after the KTown 5K run/walk.  The garden consists of an open outdoor space, surrounded by naturalized landscaping, a sound system, and lighting.  Memorial benches are scattered around the space for restful reading, conversation, and the enjoyment of the outdoors.  The garden is barrier free.

Take a computer class from your laptop or pc at home or in the library!  Click on the link to Workforce Skills for 21st Century Success and enroll in Improve Your Computer Skills.  Learn the basics of getting to know your computer, how to use email, using social media, keeping yourself safe online, and more!   Classes in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook are also available.  Proceed at your own pace with easy to understand step-by-step instructions.  You will need your library card to register.  Ask a staff member to get you started!

Need a project idea?  We have what you need!  There are two ways to get information on a good project. The first is to check out the many books on the shelves now.  Pick up Dad's Book of Awesome Science Experiments: From Boiling Ice and Exploding Soap to Erupting Volcanoes and Launching Rockets by Mike Adamick or Try This! 50 Fun Experiments for the Mad Scientist in You by Karen R. Young.  Or visit the the Web for Kids link on the Kid's page for awesome websites by the Discovery Channel and Science Buddies!  Can't find what you want?  You can always request a title from another library from the library catalog.  Ask a staff member to show you how to use any of these services.
